Who are you?
- We are a syndicate of artists who formed in 2020 as a 501(c)3 nonprofit association but had to reform as an association of artists in 2025. We are currently working towards nonprofit status. Your contribution may be tax deductible. Please see a tax professional for more information on IRS regulations. To see our association’s Vision and Herstory, see the INFORMATION page.
Who is recieving the funds you raise?
- We are disbursing all funds recieved minus expenses to immigrants directly affected by migra terrorism and kidnappings. These individuals are discovered by our organization by close work with local human rights organizations. Our primary focus is to get funds to people in need in a transparent way while respecting their privacy and safety.
You say that all proceeds minus expenses are disbursed as grants to immigrants in need. What are these expenses?
- We are a small association working towards nonprofit status and work to keep our overhead low so we can give the most funds to our grant recipients.
- Our expenses are required filing fees for nonprofit organizations for federal and state regulations, bank fees, the cost of a PO box, and any credit card fees not covered by bidders during the auction.
- You can help keep our costs low by choosing to cover the credit card fee when bidding or covering shipping when selling art in the auction.
Where are you located?
- We operate out of the San Diego region but host artwork from all over the globe. Our fundraising activities are online, while we host in-person events with local partners. See bottom of page for contact info.
I am curious about your financials and want transparency. Can I see more information?
- At this time we are regrouping as a future nonprofit. Our previous EIN as Artists in Solidarity is 85-2372771 and our tax returns are publicly searchable. Our previous nonprofit wound down in 2025. You may send us a contact form (above) if you need further information.
What don’t you do?
- We don’t engage in activities or promoting causes and interests unrelated to immigrant needs or the artists who participate in our action.
- We do
not incite, engage in, or encourage violence in any form. See INFORMATION
for details.
Why don’t you engage in the above activities?
- While we see the people’s struggle as multifaceted and interconnected, our focus on immigrant need allows us to do the most good in this corner of the fight. Due to IRS regulations, we must adhere to our stated mission and follow the bylaws of our organization.
- We strive to follow some of the great spiritual and philosophical leaders of our time, those of whom call for peace and unity. We refuse to spread propaganda by naming names; we honor our forbearers through our peaceful and intelligent action. They know who they are.
That’s all good. How can I help?
I’ve actually got an opinion on how you could do this better, who do I talk to?
